On April 8, the russian occupiers fired cluster shells from the Tochka-U complex at the Kramatorsk railway station from the occupied territories of Luhansk region. About 4,000 people were waiting to be evacuated at the Kramatorsk railway station.

The next day, in memory of the 52 people killed by a russian missile at the Kramatorsk railway station, Ukrainian Railways left empty seats at number 52 in a number of trains.
